Vote Kasim Ali on Thursday 21 March 2019
Following the resignation of Councillor Robert Thompson who has moved to another part of London and a new post, there will be a by-election in the Dalgarno ward on Thursday 21 March 2019. Your Labour Party candidate is Kasim Ali. Kasim has lived locally in Notting Dale for many years. He is married with young children and is very aware of the issues and concerns of all Dalgarno residents.
Kasim has a background in community organising and as a charity project manager. If elected Kasim pledges to work tirelessly for the residents of Dalgarno- his focus as your councillor will be on housing affordability, education, employment, community safety, youth provision and adult social care.
After the tragedy of the Grenfell Tower fire, Kasim ran six marathons and one ‘ultra-marathon’ in seven days to raise £50,000 for a local charity dedicated to working for the children and young people of North Kensington who were directly and indirectly affected by this terrible disaster in our community.
